Dana is Registered Dietitian that takes an integrated approach to helping clients work toward results of optimal health and weight loss. She begins with a comprehensive assessment in order to determine the best approach to help each individual get to the underlying problem as opposed to merely treating the individual symptoms for short term results and long term frustration. She believes nutrition is the best medicine to fuel and heal the body.  she believes that optimal weight is a bonus of optimal health.

Dana’s passion for health and weight loss began at a young age. As a competitive swimmer, runner and triathlete, she began exploring the effects nutrition had on her body and performance. From her personal experiences (both positive and negative) and struggles with weight, she is able to empathize and help you make peace with food. She realizes it’s not just about coming up with the perfect program, but helping you apply and make habit changes is more important. She wants to help you not just get results, but thrive and enjoy a balanced life to the fullest!

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Dana has Bachelors in Science and Health Nutrition from the University of North Florida where she also ran track and cross country for 2 years and worked for the Department of Health Promotions, educating and promoting health and wellness on campus.  She did her Dietetic Internship at Emory University Hospital, Atlanta GA.  She was a Activities and Fitness Director at Chateau Elan Private Sports Club.  She has worked as a Life Time Fitness Dietitian, class instructor, personal trainer, and metabolic technician (5+ years), and nutrition consultant for Service Foods Inc. an all natural and organic shop from home grocery store specializing in meats, and produce (5+ years).
